Just Wondering…

June 14, 2014

So they have decided there is an ocean underground, as a chemical reaction of a certain stone under certain heat and pressures.  I can’t say I have a better explanation for the science precipitating this conclusion, and I am intrigued what that may mean for terranautics.  (It would be just like pulp fiction of the early 1900s.  I would love it.)  I think it would be pressurized steam, rather than a pool, but either way, would that make it possible to tap into the reservoir of water as a source of hydration and energy generation?  That could make it possible to run entire cities underground.  If humans could survive it, that would be an ideal location for certain manufacturing processes.  It’s interesting to think about, isn’t it?
